As Bradley Beal Elite alum Nick Smith Jr. prepares to begin his freshman year at the University of Arkansas, the honors continue to pour in for his prep career, and the latest one might be the most prestigious.
Nick was recently named the Boys Basketball Player of the Year at the USA Today High School Sports Awards. Past recipients of the award include NBA Hall of Famers Alonzo Mourning, Chris Webber, Jason Kidd, Kevin Garnett, Kobe Bryant and Tracy McGrady, and future Hall of Famer LeBron James, and more recently Andrew Wiggins, Ben Simmons, Lonzo Ball, Michael Porter Jr. and R.J. Barrett.
⭐️ Nick Smith, Boys Basketball Player of the Year! @NTSmith1402 masterfully used his 6'5 frame to create scoring angles and size mismatches during @theNLRHS’s run to a state title. Look out for him at @RazorbackMBB this upcoming season!
