Desmond White has chosen to take his game to the East Coast and play at George Mason University.
Dez had plenty of offers to choose from if he wanted to stay home in Missouri or close to it, including the University of Missouri, Missouri State, SE Missouri State, UIC and Southern Illinois. However the allure of a great George Mason program was enough to send the Bradley Beal Elite standout to the DMV, an area quite familiar to one Bradley Beal.

In a recent interview with Phenom Hoop Report, Dez noted what stood out about the GMU program.
โI really like Coach English and I think George Mason is building on something really good.โ
Dez joins a George Mason recruiting class that also recently picked up Virginia native Austin Ball, and recruiting analyst Tristan Freeman believes Dez adds a scoring touch GMU will need in the future.
โWhite is more of a scorer than a true facilitator but considering that star forward and leading scorer Josh Oduro likely is also gone after this year, the team may need the guard commit to score in the 2023-24 campaign.โ
