For the second consecutive weekend, Bradley Beal Elite was in action in the Nike EYBL, and once again the results were positive up and down the organization.

The 17s played four tight games and nearly went unbeaten, dropping just their final game, and by just two points. The 3-1 finish included a 75-67 win over All Ohio on Friday, a 73-67 victory over Team Griffin on Saturday morning and 69-64 win over New York Renaissance on Saturday evening before seeing their winning streak end in the finale, a 68-66 loss to Vegas Elite.

BBE 17U was led by Jeremiah Fears, who averaged 12.8 points per game over the four games.

Fears was at his best in the opener, scoring 16 points while adding five assists, three rebounds and three steals. Jordan McCullum added 13 points while Tyler Tanner had 12 and Landren Blocker pitched in 10 points. Lathan Sommerville also grabbed 10 boards in the win.

In Saturday’s morning session, the scoring was evenly distributed. Fears led the team with 13 and Tanner and Dallas Thomas had 12 while McCullum tallied 11. Thomas kept up his strong Saturday with 14 in the second session, which was matched by Sommerville. Tanner was in double digits again with 11 and Jadis Jones stepped up with 10 in another win.

In the close loss in the finale, Fears was back atop the scoring list with 16. Tanner finished his fourth straight game in double digits with 10 and Thomas tallied 15. McCullum grabbed 10 rebounds and also added eight points in the defeat.

NICHOLAS RANDALL KEYS 16U TO PAIR OF WINS

For the 16U team, the weekend began with a tough luck 64-60 loss to Georgia Stars despite a monster game from Nicholas Randall who posted 16 points and grabbed 15 rebounds. Ezequias Walker added 13 points and eight boards and Luke Walsh had 12 points in the loss.

They bounced back on Saturday afternoon with a balanced scoring effort in a 57-53 win over Oakland Soldiers. Jayden Johnson was the only player in double digits with 13 points while Clayton Parker, Jai Hayes and Randall each had nine points. Randall also added eight more boards.

Following another tough loss on Saturday evening, BBE 16U bounced back on Sunday morning with a 71-63 win over Team CP3. Randall had another double double in that one with 13 points and 10 boards. He finished the weekend with an average of 10.2 points and 8.8 rebounds per game. Walker equaled Randall on the scoreboard Sunday morning with 13 points and Luke Walsh chipped in 12 points.

The final game of the weekend was another tough one, but six players had at least eight points, led by Zyree Collins, who had his best performance of the weekend with 15 points and seven assists.

JJ ANDREWS CONTINUES TO DOMINATE FOR 15U

Like their 17U brethren, the BBE 15U team went into Sunday with a chance to sweep the weekend and came up just short, instead finishing 3-1.

They started the weekend on Friday with an 85-76 win over JL3, led by 15 points from JaShawn Andrews on a perfect 6-of-6 from the field. Trey Pearson and Jaylan Mitchell each added 13 and TySeanDre Edwards had 12 points and a team-high seven rebounds.

It was once again the JJ Andrews show in Saturday’s first game as he poured in 20 points on 7-of-10 from the field in a 66-58 win over Uplay.

Andrews finished the four-game weekend with 16 points on 22-of-33 (66.6 percent) from the field. Mitchell chipped in 14 points and Jahadi White had 11 points in the win over Uplay.

BBE 15U was back at it early Sunday morning and kept rolling with a 73-68 win over Vegas Elite. Andrews outdid himself again with 21 points and Edwards tallied 16.

The finale saw Mitchell pick up the scoring load with 22 points, but BBE couldn’t complete the sweep, losing 62-48 to Mokan Elite.
