It was another banner weekend for Bradley Beal Elite at the 2024 Nike EYBL Session in Atlanta as the 16U squad dominated on the way to a Platinum Championship.

With an average margin of victory of 22 points, the BBE 16U boys, led by JJ Andrews, Jaylan Mitchell and Miikka Muurinen were flat out unstoppable.

They tipped things off on Friday by shooting the lights out in a 84-69 win over Team Herro. BBE knocked down better than 64 percent of their shots on the evening, led by Jaylan Mitchell, who scored 20 points while shooting 9-of-13 from the field, and had three steals. JJ Andrews finished with 16 points on 6-of-11 and Jamison White scored 13 points on 6-of-7. Trey Pearson added nine points and six assists.

On Saturday it was a pair impressive performance from Miikka Muurinen that paced BBE to a couple victories.

In a 79-66 victory over City Rocks on Saturday morning, Muurinen poured in 19 points on 7-of-11 from the field and grabbed seven rebounds. Andrews and Mitchell both had 17 points, and grabbed 16 boards between them.

On Saturday afternoon, Muurinen scored 17 points on 6-of-7 and knocked down 3-of-4 from deep and added four rebounds, three blocks, two steals and two assists in a 84-47 win over UPLAY. Andrews and Trey Pearson each added 13 points and Andrews had three steals while Pearson grabbed six rebounds, dished out four assists and had a pair of steals. Jamison White added 11 points, six rebounds and three blocks and Sheek Pearson scored 10 points with three blocks.

That win propelled BBE into the Platinum Bracket semifinals, where they handled Pro Skillz Elite 72-59 on Sunday morning. Andrews led four scorers in double figures with 17 points. Sheek Perason had 13 points, Mitchell had 11 points, seven rebounds and three assists and Trey Pearson was everywhere with 10 points, seven boards, five assists and two steals.

The win set the stage for a championship showdown with PSA Cardinals that never arrived, as the visitors from New York were forced to forfeit, handing the bracket crown to BBE.
